Quarterly Updates - New and revised documents published at the start of each month.
Regulatory Alerts - Where a significant regulatory change requires immediate document revision (e.g. a new CQC framework, NHS England mandate, or change in legislation), documents are updated outside the quarterly cycle. Anchorage members receive notification within 5 working days.
Review dates - All policies carry a 12-month review date. The quarterly update cycle ensures that review dates are honoured. If a policy is materially revised outside its review date due to regulatory change, the version number increments and the review date resets.

Supreme Court overturns Cheshire West: deprivation of liberty redefined. The Supreme Court has overturned the acid test of DOLS and has restored a multi-factorial approach.
Health Bill 2026: CQC's enforcement powers extended, oversight questions remain open. Risk exposure increases as the timeframe changes from three to five years. Incidents and record keeping failures from further in the past could now be subject to criminal action and enforcement by the CQC.
